Hands-on activities for the entire family, workshops, college and majors fairs, community resources, and raffles. Interaction with Latino college students, parents, professionals, and scientists. Asian New Year
Resources for learning about the Asian New Year can be found here. There is a read-aloud story, and a fun origami activity for the Year of the Rooster.

The annual Oakcliff Science Fair results are in. This year we had a lot of great projects and a lot of great experiments. The top two experiment projects qualify to move on to the District's Science Fair.

International Night 2016
Thursday, parents and families filled the school with wonderful authentic clothing, food, and dances from countries all over the world.  
HOUR OF CODE Day & Week
Monday, December 5 2016 - All Oakcliff classrooms will participate in at least 1 Hour of Code Activity. Each homeroom has decided by grade level to do soemthing Coding related. Some grades are doing unplugged activities. Other grades are programming robots. Other grades are doing several activities. The Specials teachers have all decided to do an activity as well - for the whole week! Be sure to ask your kids what they did in what class.If they have a Code.org login, through Code Club or their homeroom teachers, students may access thier login at home and code on a computer, tablet, or smart phone.
